Is it just me or does it seem like everyone is having babies? Seriously, I have three babies due this year just in my family! So, since I have at least three baby showers to attend this year I started to think about what could I make to give to these new mothers. After spending a ton of time on Pinterest and browsing all sorts of baby things to make I decided that I wanted to crochet a lovey.
This sent me down the path of trying to figure out what creature I would crochet for the lovey and what type of yarn to use. I hate to admit that it seriously took me longer to choose the yarn than it did to design the entire bear lovey! Once I decided that the lovey should have bear parts and found the yarn (which is super soft) I was ready to make a super easy and quick crochet bear lovey to give! This crochet bear lovey works up so fast since you use super bulky yarn and it makes the perfect gift for the new little people in your life!

What is the finished size of the lovey?
The blanket is roughly 13 x 13 inches and the bear body is 4 1/2 inches tall.
Are you doing a slip stitch into the new round or just going in right away with the stitch.
Hi Kanna! I’m not using a slip stitch at the beginning of the round. I’m adding the first stitch of the round into the last stitch of the last round. Hope this helps, but if you’re a visual learner check out the video at https://youtu.be/vQMRybGef8k
