Crochet Santa Ball Christmas Ornament

Crochet Santa Ball Christmas Ornament

Christmas time is here….and you know what that means! It’s new ornament time! I absolutely LOVE Christmas time and one of my favorite things to do is make Christmas ornaments (in case you haven’t noticed!). Every year since I was a child I have made a Christmas ornament to put on my tree!

So for this year’s ornament, I thought I really wanted to crochet something. Then after thinking about several different things I could make I came up with a crochet Santa ball Christmas ornament. Seriously, is there anything more synonymous with Christmas than the big man himself? Well, probably the Christmas tree but old Saint Nick is surely a close second! So, I went to work designing this super easy and cute Santa ball ornament that looks so cute on the tree and also looks amazing on a Christmas package! So…..are you ready to make your own Santa ball ornaments? Then let’s do it!

  • The Santa ball is crocheted in the round. This means that you don’t join the end of the round with a slip stitch and instead insert the first stitch of the next round into the first stitch from the last round.

Stitches Used!

  • Increase ~ Insert two single crochet into one single crochet from last round.
  • Invisible Decrease ~ Insert hook into the first single crochet’s front loop, insert hook into the second single crochet’s front loop, yarn over and pull through both front loops, yarn over and then pull through the two loops on hook.
