Let’s face it, it’s extremely awkward when you need to pull feminine products out of your purse or bag. It becomes a whole clandestine affair trying to get the product out and into your pocket before anyone notices. Even though I’m pretty sure that no one has even once noticed I feel like everyone is watching me. That’s where this cute pad pouch comes into play! This little guy holds a TON of pads and I can carry it in my hand if I wanted to and no one would be the wiser. These also make great stocking stuffers for all the ladies in your life!

Important Info!
When printing the sewing pattern PDF make sure to adjust the print settings. After you click on the print button in the PDF the printer dialog box will come up. On this screen you want to change the default zoom page size to be Actual Size. If you don’t change this setting then the pattern will print smaller then intended (so sad!).

What to Do!
To begin the feminine pad pouch you need to download the free pattern from The Pattern Stash and cut it out. I used wrapping paper to make the template for the squares! For my pad pouch I used two different patterns of material but you could definitely just use one pattern for all of the squares.
Iron four of your squares in half wrong sides together to make rectangles. Lay two of the rectangles down to make a backwards L. Make sure that the folded edges are facing in toward the center of the pouch.
Lay the next rectangle across the top of the right rectangle with the folded edge facing toward the center of the pouch.
Fold back the bottom rectangle to keep it out of the way.
Lay the last rectangle on the left side with the folded edge facing the center of the pouch.
Once the last rectangle is laid you can lay the bottom rectangle back down.
Lay the back material on top of your front rectangles right side down. Be extra careful that you don’t move the front rectangles when you lay down the back piece!

Make sure that the back material and the rectangles have right sides facing each other.
Pin front and back pieces together. I went overboard on the pinning because I wanted to make sure that none of the front rectangles shifted.
Using a straight stitch sew around the entire pouch. FYI you don’t have to worry about leaving a turning hole because we will turn this through the front!
Clip the seams using pinking shears, turn using the opening in the front rectangles, and press. Insert pads into your pad pouch!
Woo-hoo you’re all done!
Now, you too can avoid those awkward moments when you have a need for feminine products!

I don’t have a printer. What is the size of each square?
Hi Laura! The squares are 6×6 inches.
The rectangles need to be ironed with wrong sides together (the first instruction says right).
You’re so right! Thank you for letting me know so I can correct this 🙂
