I’ve never really paid attention or had an opinion on all the new AI technology available. However, recently that all changed! I had a client ask me to make a crochet cat for his little girl. I thought “I’ll just Google and find the perfect pattern”. And…. I did just that! I found the cutest crochet cat picture online and it said it had a free pattern (total win)! However, when I looked at the pattern and started actually crocheting it, I quickly realized that there was NO WAY the pattern would make the cat in the picture. That’s when I started clicking around on the website and found a disclaimer that stated “All photos on website are generated by AI”. Needless to say, I was pretty upset (that’s putting it mildly).
Since my client still wanted a crochet cat for his little girl, I decided that I would completely design it. This way the cat could be exactly what I was envisioning in my mind, no AI needed. So, that’s what I did! This crochet cat amigurumi is super cute and sits on its own. This sweet cat is the perfect project to make any cat lover or to add to your own crochet amigurumi collection. Are you ready to make your own super cute crochet cat amigurumi? Then let’s get started!
Using the suggested yarn weight and crochet hook the finished crochet cat amigurumi measures 7 1/2 inches tall and 6 inches wide.
