As I’ve said before I’m not a huge fan of gifting gift cards. So, when I decided to give multiple gift cards to my mom for a holiday trust me I was totally shocked! Although I knew I wanted to give her several gift cards so she could go on a shopping spree I wasn’t sure how I wanted to present them to her. I spent way too long trying to come up with something super creative and fun to put the gift cards in.
So, after some epic fail gift card holders (we won’t mention those) I finally came up with this gift card holder book. This easy to make book is cut in three pieces so you can make it long enough for all of the gift cards. This book holds 12 gift cards, however, if you don’t want to give that many you could totally just use one of the book pieces. So, are you ready to make your own gift card holder book? Then let’s do it!

What To Do!
To begin the gift card holder book you need to download the free SVG file from The Pattern Stash and upload it into Cricut Design Space. Need help doing this? Check out my post How To Upload SVG Files to Cricut Design Space for step-by-step instructions!
To Make Gift Card Sleeves
To make the gift card sleeves you need to load the gift card sleeve SVG into Cricut Design Space. Then once you have added the gift card sleeve to the canvas click the Ungroup button.
Next, click on the center lines of the gift card sleeve.
Then click the drop down box that says cut and change it to Score.
This changes the center lines from cut lines to score lines.
Next, select all of the gift card sleeve and click the Attach button. Then copy and paste the gift card sleeve eleven times to cut enough sleeves to fill the book.
Then fold along all of the score lines between the A & B sections, B & C sections and C & D sections. Next, add glue or tape on both A tabs and glue onto the C section. Repeat this for the other 11 gift card sleeves then set them aside.
To Make Gift Card Holder Book
To make the gift card holder book in Cricut Design Space upload the SVGs labeled gift card holder book 1, 2, & 3. Once you have loaded them and added them to your canvas click on one of them and click Ungroup.
Next, click on the center lines of the book.
Then use the drop down box that says cut and change the line type to Score.
Next, highlight the entire book and click the Attach button. Repeat this process for the other gift card holder book files. Then it’s time to cut them! When you place your cardstock paper on the mat make sure that the printed side (if printed) of the paper is facing up towards you.
Next, we will assemble the gift card holder book! So, the non-printed side of your cardstock paper should be facing up when we start folding the three sections of the book. For the gift card book #1 fold both A flaps down toward the C & E sections. Then fold the B section toward the C section. Next, fold the D section toward the E section.
This is the gift card book #1 after it has been folded.
Next, for the gift card book #2 fold both F flaps down toward the H & J sections. Then fold the H section toward the I section. Next, fold the G section back toward the back of the H section. Then fold J back to the I section’s back.
Here is the gift card book #2 after it has been folded.
Then glue the G section of the gift card book #2 to the back of the E section of the gift card book #1.
Then for the gift card book #3 fold the K section towards the L section.
This is the gift card book #3 after it’s been folded.
Next, use paper glue or tape to glue the K section to the back of the J section from the gift card book #2.
Then the gift card holder book is all glued together!
Next, glue or tape the gift card sleeves to each section including the flaps (12 in all).
Then add your gift cards to the gift card sleeves and add a cute sticker to close the flap.
To Make Front Frames
Next, add the front title and frames SVG onto your canvas in Cricut Design Space. Then click the Ungroup button.
Then click on the “Treat Yourself” words box then click the Print Then Cut button from the drop down menu.
Next, highlight both the words and the small frame and then click the Flatten button. Then click the Make It button and Cricut Design Space will prompt you to print on your printer.
Once you have printed the words then you will cut out the frame on your Cricut.
Then glue or tape the front frames to the front of the gift card holder book.
Next, add a cute ribbon around the gift card holder book and it’s ready to give to someone special!
Wasn’t this so easy to make? My mom just loved this cute gift card holder book (not to mention the gift cards) and I know that the recipient of your book will too!
