Baby Yoda Crochet Gift Card Holder

Baby Yoda Crochet Gift Card Holder

Do you get seriously disappointed when someone you’re buying a present for wants a gift card? I know that I do! For crafters such as us, gifting boring gift cards hurts our creative hearts! So, every time I give a gift card I ALWAYS try to do something creative with it (which makes me hate the gift card a little less).

My sister is a HUGE Star Wars fan and is totally in love with baby Yoda (who isn’t?). So, when she told me wanted gift cards for Christmas I instantly knew that I would have to do something Star Wars themed with them. However, I didn’t really know what I wanted to do until I stumbled onto a super cute baby Yoda picture on Pinterest. Then BOOM, inspiration hit! I had the idea to design a super cute baby Yoda crochet gift card holder! And….this pattern was born (all the Star Wars fans rejoice!).

Insert Safety Eyes:

Then take your 6mm safety eyes and insert them between rounds 14 and 15. I placed the eyes with three stitches in between each other.

Next, take some small jewelry cutters and cut the back of the safety eyes down. Make sure to not cut too far down or the back of the safety eye won’t stay on!

Then move the joining seam to the back of the holder. Next, take your yarn needle and a piece of brown yarn and sew the bottom of the gift card holder closed. Weave in the ends of your yarn.
