Holy Ghost Fall Sign

Holy Ghost Fall Sign

I LOVE fall! I know there can be a lot of debate about when the actual fall season really starts. Since I’m a Texan fall starts for me when we no longer have 100 degree days! Every fall I try to make at least one project to decorate. However, this year I really didn’t know what I wanted to make (so sad). I’ve played with different ideas but none of them really felt right. So, I figured I just wouldn’t make a fall themed project this year. But….that all changed when my mom asked me to make her a fall sign to decorate her front porch!

I was so excited to make her a fall sign so I immediately started looking for cute sayings to add to a sign. After I looked at like a million fall sayings (it was more like a hundred) I found a funny Holy Ghost saying that she absolutely loved! Once I had the saying I went to work designing this super cute Holy Ghost fall sign! This sign is super easy to make and the vinyl saying can be added to any blank sign media you choose. So, are you ready to make your own sign? Then let’s go!

What To Do!

To begin the Holy Ghost fall sign you need to download the free SVG from The Pattern Stash and upload it into Cricut Design Space. Need help doing this? Check out my post How To Upload SVG Files to Cricut Design Space for step-by-step instructions!

After you have cut and weeded your saying you need to prepare your blank sign media. If you are using wood or canvas you need to paint the surface to make sure that the vinyl sticks. If you are using a tin plaque like I did wipe down the surface with alcohol to make sure there isn’t anything that will hinder the vinyl from sticking.

Next, place the transfer tape on top of the vinyl saying. Use your Cricut scraper to press the transfer tape down onto the vinyl. Pull the vinyl saying from the backing.

Then center the saying over the sign media and press it down. Make sure that you don’t have any wrinkles in the vinyl!

Next, take your Cricut scraper again and press the vinyl saying to your sign media.
