Easy Strawberry Pupsicles Homemade Frozen Dog Treats

Strawberry Pupsicles Homemade Frozen Dog Treats

It’s summer time for sure in Texas! I don’t know how it feels where you live but here it’s HOT. Seriously, it’s only June and already we have a heat advisory! Everyone knows that during the hot months you have to be careful to not get overheated and keep hydrated and cool. The same is true for the furry loves in your life.

My Molly is part Boston Terrier and does NOT handle the heat well. So, I’m always looking for ways to keep her cool during the summer. Since she absolutely loves fresh fruit I thought why not make her strawberry frozen dog treats. The cool thing about these treats (pun intended) is they are super healthy because the only ingredients in them are strawberries and water! So, are you ready to make some awesome coolness for your furry love?

What To Do!

The first step in making these homemade frozen dog treats is to cut off the stems of the strawberries and rinse. Next, blend the strawberries and water until they almost become a puree.

Next, fill your silicone molds or ice trays. I put my silicone molds on a sheet pan so it would be easier to carry to the freezer. Obviously, I’m not great at pouring into a mold!

Fill Forms With Strawberry Liquid and Freeze

Then put your yummy treats in the freezer for a couple of hours. Now each freezer is so different the actual time for your treats to freeze will vary. For Molly’s treats it took about 2 hours for them to be frozen.

Finished Easy Strawberry Homemade Dog Frozen Treats

There you have it! These easy strawberry homemade frozen dog treats are just the ticket to keep your furry love cool and happy during the summer. Molly loves them so much she walks to the freezer and just waits there for me to get her some (no joke)! So, here’s to you and your dog keeping cool and safe this summer!
